D P M Duck Club

For those who prefer a club that offers a private setting without the compettion of nearby blinds, this is the ranch for you and your group. No hunting is permitted north and south of the property which allows the birds to swing right over the blind unharrased. One group of hunters control both blinds on the ranch, one 2-man and one 4-man. The goose and duck shooting is above average and a large population of native pheasants hang out on the levees and ditches that surround the flooded rice fields. The photo to the left is looking south east from the blind. Water is provided by the irrigation district and levels are managed to provide the perfect environment for waterfowl. Specs and Snows are plentiful along with Mallards and Widgeon Ducks. Being that this property neighbors the nearby Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge to the West, it is not uncommon to harvest banded birds every season.
