Carlson Ranch
The Old Carlson Ranch is located two miles north of the town of Richvale. Year after year it continues to provide excellent wing shooting during the second half of the season. The four hundred acre rice farm has two blinds spaced over 200 acres. The remaining 200 acres is flooded for rice decomposition and to provide a waterfowl resting area.

Waterfowl Properties
On the last day of the season we had to really reach out with all the hi-power Bizmuth and TungstenMatrix we could handle. In this photo Rob Ayers hammers away with his trusty 31/2 inch Browning auto loader.
We did manage to bring some ducks down. In the photo above, Greta brings this feisty green head back to the blind, despite his efforts to get-a-way.

The harvest has been completed here. At the north blind, the ground is worked up and ready for flood-up, mean while, the south blind field is getting some leveling work done and should be completed in the next few days. We should have the water going here next week after the laser work is completed.
